Tube Sheet

Tube plate/sheet is one of the important parts of heat exchanger

It is mainly used in chemical containers, such as tubular heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boilers, condensers, central air conditioners, evaporators, seawater desalination, and plays the role of supporting fixed tubes. The metal material makes it not only has strong rigidity, but also has great heat conduction performance.


The tube plate/sheet processing begin with the lathe machining the outer circle, upper and lower surfaces, steps, positioning slot, surface milling slot,and then into the drilling process, for special requirements, some tube plates/sheets after drilling have to continue to locate the hole and milling the slot according to the required depth,that will improve the pulling force and tightness of the expansion tube

Material

Low carbon steel, Admiralty, copper, copper-nickel, stainless steel,titanium, Titanium alloy, composite material.


Q345R, Q235B, Q235, 16Mn, S304, S304L, S316, S316L, SA182, SA965, SA-GR70, SA-GR40, SA-F60, HC-4, TA2....

Tube sheet processing

When the tube sheet blank is rolled steel plate, the flatness of the blank shall not be greater than 1.5% of the diameter of the tube sheet, otherwise it shall be leveled: the flatness of the blank that does not require processing on the end face of the tube sheet shall not be greater than 2% of the diameter of the tubular sheet


The heat exchanger tube sheet with a nominal diameter of DNS2600mm should not be spliced


When the tubular sheet blank needs to be spliced, the butt joint should adopt a fully welded structure, and the butt joint of the spliced tubing plate should be tested by 100% radio graphic or ultrasonic, except for stainless steel, the spliced tubular sheet should be treated with stress relief


Note: The passing level of radio graphic testing shall not be less than level 11, the technical level shall not be lower than level AB, the qualification level of ultrasonic testing shall not be less than level 1, and the technical level shall not be lower than level B


When the thickness of the tube sheet is greater than 60mm, the forgings should comply with the provisions of NB/T 47008-2017, NB/T 47009-2017 and NB/T47010-2017, and the forging grade shall not be less than 11


When there are forging defects or processing errors in the processing process, repair welding is allowed, and the repair welding requirements shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of NB/T 47008-2017, NB/T47009-2017, NB/T 47010-2017


Before surfacing welding, the surfacing process qualification should be carried out according to NB/T 47014-2011 - the surface of the base material to be surfacing and the surface of the laminated material after processing (before drilling) should be in accordance with NB/T 47013. 1~47013. 13-2015 Surface inspection, the qualification level is level 1; After the surfacing of the transition layer is completed, stress relief heat treatment should be carried out; The surfacing process must be strictly controlled to ensure that the deposition interface is not excessively diluted and the cladding does not produce other defects


The method of welding the heat exchange tube and the tube sheet and repairing the gap between the bridge shall not be used for the surfacing welding of the tube sheet

If the tube sheet is manufactured from sheets, the material and specifications and the blanking size should be carefully checked according to the drawings and processes before blanking, and the marking should be transferred after making sure that it is correct

Turning machining

Check whether the blank has enough machining allowance, and only after confirming that it is correct, the operator will process the outer circle and end face to the drawing size according to the drawing, and mark and transplant

Drilling machining

Use CNC drilling machine positioning to find out the center of the workpiece, enter the corresponding X, Y coordinate programming, in order to ensure that the drilling position is consistent with the requirements of the drawing, the accuracy of the center must be ensured: carefully check all the dimensions of the drawing and the computer input size is the same, and after drilling out the positioning hole, the size is reviewed, and then continue to process after confirming that it is correct; After drilling, the burrs around the pipe hole are cleaned, and the hole must be perpendicular to the plane of the tube sheet for large thickness tubesheets; The drilling should be based on factors such as the size of the pipe hole, the material, the thickness and roughness of the tube sheet, etc., and the appropriate drilling speed should be selected, and the emulsion should be used for cooling during drilling, and the carbon steel tube plate should not be cooled with water to avoid rust after the pipe hole is processed; When the diameter of the tube sheet pipe hole > 32mm, it should be processed by the double drilling method, first with a drill bit with a diameter of 0.5-0.7 times of the hole diameter for the first drilling, and then with a drill bit with a diameter equal to the hole diameter for the second drilling

Milling machining (bulkhead slot)

The depth of the separator groove should be greater than the thickness of the gasket, and should not be less than 4mm, the sealing surface of the partition groove should be flush with the annular sealing surface, and the chamfer of the partition groove should not hinder the installation of the gasket, and the chamfer at the corner of the partition groove should be 45 degrees

Bolt holes and tie rod holes

According to the construction drawing, all bolt holes and tie rod holes are processed, and the surface roughness of the hole Ra value is <25um
